connecting with the True Self/’Kami’

Kami (translated as God) is the Japanese word for the true inner being, the authentic self, and also Universal Energy or Source Energy. 

This is a sacred space to connect with our inner divinity - Ware Soku Kami Nari (I am a divine being), acknowledging and affirming the divinity within.  Then Jinrui Soku Kami Nari (all humanity is divine), acknowledging and affirming the divinity within each human being.

Each direction of north, south, east and west, has the prayer for World Peace, which begins with each one of us resonating with our inner divinity, and reconnecting with our true selves. This is followed by the affirmation of How I Reveal My Inner Self (Divine Self), which explains how to move beyond our past experiences and aspire to a joyful, light-filled future.  (Please note, the translation from Japanese to English was made many years ago and so therefore the language may come across as dated.  The most current translation is Human Beings and The True Way of Living.)

The Ware Soku Kami Nari declaration is a deep affirmation of our own aspiration to remember our essence and origins.  This naturally progresses to the Jinrui Soku Kami Nari declaration that every single human being has divine essence and origin.

Find a comfortable place around the pyramid to sit quietly.  Take three deep breaths.  Take your time to meditate on the words of each section of the prayers.
